Emilia Bergmark

Emilia Bergmark (Sundsvall, 1986) är en installationskonstnär som bor och arbetar i Malmö och Köpenhamn. Med utgångspunkt i vardagens realism skapar hon poetiska och tragikomiska installationer som kombinerar skulptur, text, interiör, film och grafik.

Ett pågående tema i Bergmarks praxis är att utforska objekt från ett antropocentriskt perspektiv. Genom att använda antropomorfism som berättargrepp ger hon röst till ting och subjekt som vanligtvis inte blir hörda och analyserar och kritiserar de konstruerade system av ordning, mening och ägande genom vilka samtidsmänniskan tar ägandeskap av sin omvärld och dess resurser.

Bergmark har visat separatutställningar i Sverige och internationellt bland annat 'Hem' Malmö Konstmuseum, 2022, 'Triennalen' Härnösands Konsthall 2022, ‘Blomsten i Konsten’, Arken, Köpenhamn, DK, ‘Naturen Taler’ Sorø kunstmuseum, Sorö, DK. Tidigare separatutställningar inkluderar ‘Ett Hem’, Slätten, Malmö, SE (2020), ‘Burnout’, Kunsthal 44 Møen, DK (2019)‘Heaven and Earth’, Marwan, Amsterdam, NL (2018). Emilia Bergmark har en MFA i skulptur från Den Konglige Danske Kunstakademi (DK) och School of the Damned (UK).
